It occurred a long time ago. There was a king named Al-Zahir. One day he sent his minister Rakib to the king of Serindib with lots of gifts. The king of Serindib liked the gift sent to him very much.

When Rakib returned to his kingdom, the king of Serindib also sent many nice and unique gifts for al-Zahir.

Rakib left for his kingdom with his caravan. Rakib's caravan had just moved some distance when it was attacked by Rajasthani robbers. They looted all the goods of the caravan made the caravan's passengers their slaves and sold them in another country.

Sold the minister of King al-Zahir to an ivory trader. After a few days, when the ivory trader came to know that Rakib was adept at using a bow and arrow, he asked Rakib to go to a forest with some other slaves and also ordered him to kill one elephant every day and send a message to him.

Rakib left towards the forest. The very next day Rakib killed an elephant and Aare Ghulam was very happy to see this.

All the slaves dug a very big pit and buried the elephant there. Seeing this, Rakib asked why are you burying this elephant here?

A slave said that the merchant had ordered us. When you kill an elephant, you have to bury it in the ground. When it rots, we will get its teeth.

In this way, Rakib continued killing elephants for two months. One day when he was sitting on a tree waiting for the elephants, a herd of elephants came near his tree and started roaring. Rakib was horrified to see this. Then an elephant uprooted with its trunk the tree on which Rakib was sitting. Rakib fell down on the ground, the other elephant held him in its trunk and made him sit on its back.

Rakib realized that now his last time had come. The elephants will definitely take revenge on him for the death of their companions.

Rakib was thinking that now it would be difficult for him to escape. He started remembering his entire life from childhood till now. He began to miss his kingdom and family.

He was living such a happy life with his family that then his luck took a turn and he had to end this life.

Rakib had tears in his eyes. He had never imagined that the last moment of his life would be like this. Today neither any member of his family was with him, nor was he in his country.

He asked Allah for forgiveness for his sins and vowed to end his life.

The herd of elephants reached a mountain with Karib, dropped him there, and went back. Karib looked around and saw heaps of elephant teeth and bones lying there.

Karib thought in his mind, perhaps this is a graveyard for elephants? The elephants have brought me here and left me here because they do not want me to kill them for their teeth.

Rakib quickly went to the city and told the merchant about this. The businessman reached that place with his assistants. There he collected more ivory than he had collected in his entire life. The merchant sold the ivory and gave some of the money to Rakib and sent him back to his home with the caravan.

Rakib reached his country and told King Al-Zahir in detail about his adventures. The king was very happy to hear Rakib's words. He ordered that Rakib's adventures be written in golden letters and kept in the royal treasury.
