The next day Swamiji woke up early in the morning and reached Joshimath. In his visit, he strongly opposed many hypocritical Tantrikas and those who sacrificed innocent animals and birds.

Story - Mother's Boldness

Mother Sharda was living in her hometown of Jayarambati in those days. He wished to go to Kolkata from the village to visit Ganga Snan and visit her husband Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

Some villagers were going for Gangesanan, so Mother Sharda also went on foot with some women. On the way, there used to be a place called Telo-Melo, where the rebel robbers used to rob the passengers on the way.

In the year 1921, there was a severe famine in Khulna of the then Bengal. Swami Pranavanand left all other tasks in the midst of his disciples and engaged in the service of the victims.

He gave a public call, "Today there is no religion other than the service of the victims. Similarly, as soon as he got the news of floods in Orissa and East Bengal, he reached there and served the victims.

Later on, he was recognized as 'Yugacharya'. He announced at the conference of Seva Sangh, 'Preach education, but special attention to the rites, two worship will be successful only when human conduct is pure. The one who has no words to tell, what inspiration will he give to someone? '

Story - Saintly Humility

The Brahminist saint Swami Dayanand Giri was a scholar of scriptures. He often used to say that the essence of the scriptures is that human beings should always behave courteously, keeping away from all kinds of pride.

Once Swamiji reached Nathdwara (Rajasthan). After seeing Shrinathji, he reached the Bhandara of the temple to get Bhiksha (food). There, the manager of the restaurant was saying to someone, 'Today the kitchenware worker has not come. What would happen in such a situation? '

As soon as Swamiji heard this, he started cleaning the shoes. Bhandare's administrator and other saints were greatly impressed by his spirit of service.

The same evening, there was a Sanskrit discussion in Sanskrit among the scholars in the temple auditorium. Many saints and scholars were participating in it. Swami Dayanand Giri sat in a corner.

He stood in the middle of the discussion and said modestly, 'You people are not pronouncing the question properly. He also told a pure accent.

The chairman of the temple committee saw that this is the same saint, who was cleaning the battered utensils a while back, so he was shocked. When he came to know that he was Swami Dayanand Giriji Maharaj, he fell to his feet and started apologizing.

Swamiji said, 'I have washed the accumulated pots of my previous birth by washing the litter dishes of the devotees of Shrinathji. Nothing is too small for a monk. He should be ready to serve. '
