The Story Of Jesus Christ From His Birth To His Crucifixion
Christianity is also known as the Christian religion. The founder of this religion is Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is considered a prophet of the tradition of prophets that has been going on for a long time. In Hebrew, he was called Yeshu, Jesus, or Yeshua, but in English, it became Jeshua. This same Jeshua got distorted to become Jesus. Let us know the story of the life of Jesus Christ.
There is a difference of opinion regarding the birth of Jesus Christ. We find four theories in this regard. First, according to the 'Luke Act', his family lived in the village of Nazareth. When his parents reached Bethlehem from Nazareth, he was born at a place there. It is said that when Jesus was born, Mary was a virgin. Mary was the wife of a carpenter named Joseph. When Jesus Christ was born, fairies came there and called him Messiah and a group of cowherds reached to pray to him.
One day before the birth of Jesus, the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and said blessed are you among women because you have been chosen to become the mother of the Son of God. Mother Mary was surprised to hear this. It is said that after this, on the orders of Emperor Augustus, the census started in the state and all the people were going to register their names in Jerusalem. Jesus' parents were also going there from Nazareth, but in the middle of Bethlehem, Mother Mary gave birth to a child.
According to another theory, that is, according to the 'Matthew Act', Jesus was born in Bethlehem, but the king of that place, Herod, had ordered to kill all the children below the age of two years in Bethlehem. Knowing this, Jesus' family went from there to Egypt. Then after some time from there, they settled in Nazareth. The 'Gospel of Mark' and the 'Gospel of John' have not mentioned his birthplace, but have told about his relation with Nazareth.
According to the Christian religious book, Mother Mary was a resident of Nazareth village in Galilee province and she was engaged to a carpenter named Yusuf, a descendant of David. It is said that she became pregnant due to God's influence even before marriage. Due to God's indication, Yusuf or Yosef accepted her as his wife.
After marriage, Yusuf left Galilee province and started living in a village named Bethlehem in Judea province and Jesus Christ was born there. But to escape the atrocities of King Herod, he went to Egypt and started living there, and later when Herod died in 6 BC, he again came to Bethlehem, and Jesus Christ was born there in 6 BC, and then from there he again settled in Nazareth. Whatever it is, it is proved that Jesus Christ's parents were residents of Nazareth and Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Now why they went to Bethlehem will remain a mystery.
When Jesus Christ was about 12 years old, he is said to have been discussing knowledge with Jewish priests in Jerusalem. Jesus Christ himself was a Jew. No one knows where he went after discussing with the priests. There is no mention of his age from 13 to 29 in the Bible. However, it is also said that after some time Jesus learned the profession of Joseph and till the age of about 30, he lived in Nazareth and worked as a carpenter.
His real story begins when he takes baptism (baptism) from a saint named John at the age of 30 and then he starts preaching to the people. His teachings are different from the beliefs of Judaism and when he claims to be a prophet, the fundamentalists of the Jews get angry about it. However, he becomes popular among the public.
The public started believing that he was the Messiah who would liberate us from the Roman Empire. At that time, the Jewish majority state was ruled by the Roman emperor Tiberius who had appointed a governor named Pilate who used to look after the administration of the state. The Jews believed that they were politically enslaved and they were waiting for 4 centuries for a Messiah who would free them from this slavery.
Then when in 27 A.D. John the Baptist started baptizing with the message 'Repent, the kingdom of heaven is near', a wave of hope ran among the Jews and they started expecting that the Messiah would come soon. In such a situation, Jesus Christ preaching in simple language and helping the people indicated that he was the Messiah. He became popular among the people. His popularity caused a wave of worry among the fundamentalist Jews as well as the Romans.
Although Jesus Christ used to say that I have not come to abolish the law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets but to complete them. Jesus Christ used to come to the temple in the capital Jerusalem to celebrate the festivals of the Jews, but he considered the Jewish religion incomplete. He was opposed to the complex rituals propounded by the scholars and considered morality as the basis of religion and gave it more importance.
The people were fascinated by his teachings and the miracles he performed and they accepted him as a prophet. Then Jesus revealed that I am the Messiah, the son of God, and had descended from heaven to establish the kingdom of heaven. ... Jesus Christ chose twelve disciples to preach his message and gave them special teachings and authority. Due to this message of the kingdom of heaven, there was opposition among the Jewish leaders towards Jesus. They started to believe that the kingdom of heaven that Jesus wanted to establish was a new religion that had no connection with the temple of Jerusalem. They started to consider it against the beliefs of Judaism.
These 12 disciples were - Peter, Andrew, James (son of Zebedee), John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (son of Alphaeus), Saint Judas, Simon the Zealot, and Matthias.
Then one day in 29 AD, Jesus Christ reached Jerusalem riding on a donkey. There he had his last supper with all his disciples and it was there that Jesus explained in signs what was going to happen to him. It was there that a conspiracy was hatched to punish him. It is said that one of his disciples, Judas, betrayed him, due to which he was arrested, and then in the Jewish General Assembly, he was ordered to be sentenced to death because he claimed to be the son of God. Pilate, the governor of the Roman Empire, accepted this order of the Jews under pressure, and to prevent any kind of rebellion in the state, he ordered Jesus to be crucified.
To hang Jesus Christ on the cross, he was first made to wear a crown of thorns. Then he was asked to carry a heavy cross. Jesus Christ lifted that cross and walked to the place where he was crucified.
The place where Jesus Christ was crucified is known as Golgotha. This place is in the Christian area of Jerusalem, the capital of Israel. This is called the Hill of the Calvary. There is a Church of Flagellation at this place. The path from the Holy Sculpture to the Church of Flagellation is considered to be the path of sorrow or suffering. There are 9 historical and holy places during the journey. The Church of Flagellation is considered to be the place where Jesus was publicly condemned and crucified on the hill of Golgotha.
There were three charges against Lord Jesus. The biggest change was that he called himself the Messiah and the Son of God. The religious leaders of the Jews did not like this and they complained about it to the Roman governor Pilate. Pilate did not find any fault in Jesus. Even then the soldiers of the Roman contingent and their centurions and the guards of the Jewish temple arrested Jesus. They finally brought him to Pilate.
Due to the pressure of the Jews, Pilate got Jesus flogged. The soldiers made a crown by bending thorny branches and placing it on his head. Then he was given a big cross and he had to take it to the place where he was crucified. It was called Golgotha (Place of the Skull). He was whipped all the way and finally, he reached there and was crucified on Friday along with two people in front of everyone. His mother, Aunt Mary, wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene were standing near the cross of Jesus.
After Jesus Christ was taken down from the cross, one of his followers took the body and placed it in a cave. A stone was placed in front of that cave. That cave and stone are still present today. It is called the empty grave. Later his body was duly buried on the other side.
There is an ancient holy church adjacent to the walls of the ancient city of Jerusalem, about which it is believed that Lord Jesus was resurrected here. This church was built at the same place where Jesus Christ was seen alive again. The name of this church is - Church of the Holy Sculpture. Jesus Christ was buried inside the sculpture itself. It is also believed that this is the place of Jesus' last supper.
On Sunday, only one woman (Mary Magdalene) saw him alive near his grave. This event of seeing him alive is celebrated as 'Easter'. According to the Bible, Jesus stayed in this world for 40 days to prove that he had really risen from the dead, to complete the work of convincing the apostles, and to establish his church. After this, he took the apostles to the Mount of Olives and, raising his hands, blessed them and flew towards heaven until a cloud covered him. Then two angels appeared and said to them, 'This same Jesus, whom you are seeing going from among you towards heaven, will come again, just as you have seen going towards that heaven. Then he will judge all human beings.'
On Sunday morning when it was dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. Then she went to Simon Peter and the other disciples and told them that they had taken Jesus' body out of the tomb. Everyone went there and saw that the shrouds were lying there. Everyone saw that Jesus was not there. Then all the disciples left, but Mary Magdalene remained there. Magdalene, weeping and sobbing, looked inside the tomb again and saw two angels sitting in white clothes, one at the head and the other at the feet, where Jesus' body had been kept. The angel asked her, why are you mourning? Then Magdalene said that they had taken my Lord away. As soon as she said this, she turned and saw that Jesus was standing there. Jesus said to Magdalene, I am going to my Father and you go to my brothers. Mary Magdalene came to the disciples saying that she had seen the Lord. It is also said that Jesus appeared to some disciples as well.
One theory also says that according to the Book of Isaiah in the Old Testament, when Jesus came to Jerusalem riding on a donkey, people welcomed him with palm branches, and believed that he would defeat all the enemies of Bani Israel. Then Jesus goes to the top of the Temple Mount and sees that inside the outer courtyard of the Temple, Roman tax collectors are sitting, money changers are sitting and all kinds of business is going on there. Seeing this, Jesus is very sad that such activities are going on in the Temple (Holy Temple), so he takes out his coffin beats those people with it, and throws them out of there. Later when the Roman governor came to know about this, he announced to crucify Jesus as punishment.
Only a few stories of his story are found in the Bible. First is the story of his birth, second when he was seven years old and went to the temple during a festival, third when he reached Jerusalem riding a donkey and got baptized by John, fourth when he lived with his disciples and preached, fifth when he had his last meal and sixth when he was hanged on the cross and finally seventh when he rose again. What Jesus Christ did between the ages of 13 and 29 is a mystery. Where was he during this period of his life? At the age of 30, he returned to Jerusalem and took initiation from John. After initiation, he started teaching people. After three years, i.e. at the age of 33, he was hanged on the cross. After 33, he was never seen again. After this, the rest of his life is unknown. However many researchers believe that he came to India and died there after living till the age of about 100 years. His tomb is claimed to be in Rozabal, Srinagar, Kashmir.
