Puzzle

Sometimes our life comes to a standstill and becomes a puzzle. One such story is from Kumarpur village, where a landlord lived. He had only one son who was studying in the city. The landlord was ill for a long time. He visited many hospitals to get his treatment but his illness was progressing. He was only worried about his family property.

In fact, he was afraid that, after his departure, his wife would be left alone and his son, Surya, was still studying and did not know anything about farming. Then who will handle such a huge property responsibly? This worry was eating away at Surya's father and here Surya was sifting through the dust of companies to improve his future. It was his last year of studies. After this, he had to do some job or the other.

Surya had no dearth of wealth. He did not want to do the job for money, rather, he was looking for work to establish the basis of his life during this time, he got an appointment to the post of Assistant Manager in a company, but, the condition of this company. Year after year, it was getting worse. The owner of the company tried hard to take over his company but no one was ready to work here anymore.

For several months, the daily allowance of the workers was stopped, hence, the workers were not ready to work but, on the very first day of the job, Surya won the heart of the company owner. With his words, Surya had convinced the workers to work again within an hour. Seeing his wisdom, the owner of the company called him to his cabin and informed him about the situation of the company. After understanding the whole thing, Surya tells the company owner, “Don't worry, I will save this company even at the cost of my life.

Just do not withhold the workers' money in any way because they are the backbone of our factory. It is impossible to run a factory without them. Then the owner of the company, while enumerating his problems, said that the company was in debt. The company has been running in losses for a long time, for which the company owner has taken loans from many institutions, and the interest on which is increasing day by day.

The company owner had already decided that if the company could not run, he would sell it, but he did not want to let the factory close because of the workers. In this connection, Surya had also joined the company owner and decided that to increase the sales of the company, he would personally go to the dealers and encourage them to sell the goods of his factory. Then, Surya started showcasing his hard work and within a few months, the sales of the products started increasing.

Within no time the confidence of the factory workers increased, but in the meantime, Surya's father died. Suddenly, he has to go back to his village. He takes the company car to his village and upon reaching there, performs the last rites of his father. After her husband leaves, Surya's mother is alone, so he wants to take her with him to the city, but Surya's mother tells him, “Son, what will I do by going to the city?

Who will help your father do such a big farming here? Rather, I say that you too, leave your job and come to the village. I need you here. After all, you are the only heir of this property. You will have to take responsibility for this.” Surya's life was entangled in front of him like a puzzle. On one hand, his helpless mother needed him and on the other hand, the lives of hundreds of laborers rested on Surya's shoulders.

Surya was unable to decide whether he should handle his family property as per the age-old tradition or the responsibility of the laborers which he had taken upon himself. Surya's life had come to two ends. Where he was not worried about his needs, rather, he was worried about the fact that he would not have to regret any of his decisions in the future.

Surya is trying to convince his mother to go to the city when he gets a call from the factory owner informing him that there has been an accident and a fire in the factory, which has injured many workers and the factory has been destroyed. There has been a loss of crores of rupees. The company needs money otherwise the company will have to be closed.

As soon as he heard the news, Surya's dreams were shattered. Surya leaves his mother alone and goes to the city to look after his workers. After a long journey, he feels hungry on the way, so he stops to eat at a roadside dhaba. As soon as he reaches inside the dhaba, he is surprised because this dhaba is free for the passersby. What he doesn't understand is, "In this world of selfishness, why is he feeding passers-by for free?"

Surya wanted to know the reason for this. Surya came to know that the owner of the dhaba had sold all his property and opened a dhaba here, which had been opened in the spirit of philanthropy. Inspired by his generosity, Surya reaches his house to meet the owner of the dhaba. There Surya sees a person feeding rotis with his own hands to many monkeys.

He immediately approaches them and asks, “Aren't you afraid of them?” The man says smilingly, “This is my family.” Why be afraid of them? Surya thinks that perhaps they are the owners of the dhaba, so he asks them, “Why did you sell all your property and invest in all this work?” Will your ancestors not be sad about this?”

Then, while replying to Surya's words, he said, “My wealth would get destroyed with time after being divided into pieces, but the tradition of providing free food that I have started while I am alive, will continue.

Someone else will come after me who will carry forward that work but, if I had kept my property, it would have been destroyed after me by getting divided into many pieces and my existence would have been erased forever. Therefore, I used my property. By doing this, I established such a tradition that my ancestors will continue to enjoy peace.”

Surya had got the answer to his riddle. From there, Surya called his company owner and said, “Don't worry about money. I would not let the factory be closed and then what, Surya sold all his property and brought his mother to the city, citing the conditions of the workers in the company.

By selling assets, Surya had accumulated crores of rupees which he dedicated to saving the sinking company, and within a few years, the company was back on its feet. The owner of the company, seeing Surya's hard work and dedication, made him a partner in the company. Today, Surya has become the means of running the household of many laborers and with the birth of this tradition, the story ends.
