The Dragon is a symbol of supernatural power, wisdom, strength, and hidden knowledge. The Dragon is one of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs based on the Lunar New Year. Last year was the year of the Rabbit. According to Chinese traditions, the three colors considered auspicious are red, yellow, and green. Therefore, red cards are exchanged on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
Lunar New Year Is Celebrated In These Countries
Lunar New Year is also called Spring Festival. In China, the Lunar New Year is associated with the Moon. It is completely based on the cycles of the moon and is celebrated on a different day every year because the cycles of the moon keep changing. Usually, it is celebrated between the end of January and February. This festival is celebrated according to the lunisolar calendar. This festival is known as Tet Nguyen Dan in Vietnam, while South Koreans celebrate it as Seollal. On this occasion, people wear new clothes and exchange red cards. In Beijing, people gather at the Lama Temple to celebrate this festival. This festival is celebrated with great pomp in Korea also. Apart from China and Korea, this festival is also celebrated in Singapore. About 1.5 billion people in the world celebrate Lunar New Year.
What Is The Lunar New Year
The new year has begun for the Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and many other communities worldwide. And the whole world also knows it as Lunar New Year or Chandra New Year. However, this date can be any time from the end of January to the end of February. It can be said that its calculations are similar to those of the Indian calendar. Where the year begins with the rising of a new moon.
It is said that the tradition of welcoming this Lunar New Year is very old in China, it was started by the Chinese ruler Huang Li 2600 years ago. Like the Western calendar, the Chinese lunar calendar is also based on the phases of the moon. According to lunar calculations, it takes 60 years to complete one lunar cycle. The cycle consists of 5 cycles of 12 years each.

Obviously, this is seen as a big journey for people all over the world.
