Bhai Dooj Ki Kahani
Bhai Dooj is a very important festival celebrated in India which is celebrated in every corner of India. Bhai Dooj is a Hindu festival celebrated in India and Nepal. This festival is celebrated by the followers of the Hindu religion. This festival shows the importance of the sacred relationship between brother and sister. The rituals and celebrations of this day are similar to popular festivals like 'Raksha Bandhan'. On this special occasion, brothers give many gifts to their sisters, and in return, sisters give sweets to their brothers.
Bhai Dooj Story
There was an old lady. He had seven sons and one daughter. The daughter was married. Whenever his son got married, a snake would come and bite his son. The son would have died the same and the daughter-in-law would have been widowed. In this way, his six sons died. The seventh was yet to get married. In this way, the old woman became blind crying due to the grief of her son's death.
When Bhai Dooj was about to come, the brother said that he would go to his sister to get tilak done. Mother said okay.
On the other hand, when the sister came to know that her brother was coming, she went crazy with happiness and started asking what should she prepare when her beloved brother came home? Seeing his happiness, the neighbor got jealous and said, “Coated the kitchen with milk and cooked rice in ghee.” Sister did the same.
On the other hand, when the brother was going to his sister's house, he found a snake on the way. The snake was about to bite him.
Brother Said - Why are you biting me?
The Snake Said - I am your death. And I want to bite you.
Brother Said - My sister is waiting for me. When I return after getting the tilak done, then you can bite me.
The Snake Said – To date, no one has come back to die, why will you come?
Brother Said - If you don't believe then you sit in my bag. When I do my sister's tilak, then you bite me. The snake did the same.
Brother reached sister's house. Both were very happy.
Brother Said - Sister, give me food quickly, I am very hungry.
What should the sister do? Neither the milk's kitchen dries up, nor the rice is cooked in ghee.
Brother Said - Sister, why is it taking so long? What are you cooking?
Then the sister said that she had done like this.
Brother Said - Crazy! Somewhere rice is cooked in ghee, or some kitchen utensils are coated with milk. The kitchen was littered with cow dung, and rice cooked in milk.
Sister did the same. After eating food, my brother started feeling very sleepy. Meanwhile, my sister's children arrived. He said- Uncle, uncle, what have you brought for us?
Brother Said - I did not bring anything.
The children took the bag which contained the snake. As soon as it was opened, a diamond necklace came out.
Sister Said - Brother, you didn't tell me that you have brought such a beautiful necklace for me.
Brother Said - Sister, if you like it then take it, what should I do with the necklace?
The Next Day Brother Said - Now I have to go, keep food for me. Sister made laddu for him and gave it to him in a box.
Brother went some distance, got tired, and slept under a tree. On the other hand, when the sister's children felt hungry, they asked their mother to give them food.
Mother Said - It is too late to prepare food. So the children said, give whatever is kept to uncle. So she said that millet was ground to make laddus, the same is left in the mill, go and eat it. The children saw that there were snake bones lying in the mill.
When I told the same thing to my mother, she ran after her brother like a fool. Throughout the way, she asked people whether someone saw me as a gal, someone saw me as a stupid brother. Then one said that someone was lying under the tree, please check if it was him. She ran and reached under the tree. Woke up my brother from sleep. Brother, brother, did you eat my laddus?
Brother Said - Take these laddus of yours, I did not eat them. She had given me laddus after taking them, and she followed them too.
Sister Said - No brother, you are lying, you have definitely eaten. Now I will go with you.
Brother Said - If you are not agreeing then go ahead.
While walking, the sister feels thirsty, and she tells her brother that she wants to drink water.
Brother Said - Now from where should I bring water for you here? See! Eagles are flying somewhere far away, go there and maybe you will find water.
Then the sister went there, and when she was returning after drinking water, she saw on the way that at one place there were six carved stones in the ground, and one was kept uncarved. He asked an old woman what these stones were like.
That Old Lady Told That - There is an old lady. He had seven sons. Six sons have died in the wedding hall itself, so these stones in their names are carved in the ground, the marriage of the seventh is yet to take place. When he gets married, he will also die in the pavilion, then this seventh pillar will also be buried in the ground.
Hearing this, the sister understood that these stitches were not of anyone else but in the names of her brothers. He asked the old lady for a solution to save his seventh brother. The old lady told her how she could save her seventh brother. Knowing everything, she walked away from there with her balls exposed and abused her brother like a mad person.
She Came To Her Brother And Said – You will be burnt, beaten, and killed.
Brother was shocked to see such behavior but he did not understand anything. In this way, both the brothers and sisters reached their mother's house. After some time, engagements started coming for the brother. His marriage has been fixed.
When she started wearing the Sahara to her brother, She Said - Why should the Sahara be tied to him, I will wear the Sahara. It will burn, it will die.
Everyone got upset and gave Sahra to their sister. The sister saw that instead of Kalangi, there was a baby snake in it. Sister took it out and threw it away.
Now When The Brother Started Riding The Mare, The Sister Again Said - Why will he ride the mare, I will sit on the mare, he will burn and die, his dead body will be eaten by eagles and crows. Everyone is very worried. Everyone even allowed him to ride the mare.
Now When The Wedding Procession Was About To Start, The Sister Said – Why will he go through the door, he will go through the back way, I will go through the door. When she was going under the door, the door suddenly started falling. Sister picked up a brick and kept it in her Chunri, the door stopped there. Everyone was very surprised.
When the procession stopped at a place on the way, the brother was made to stand under a Peepal tree.
Sister Started Saying – Why would he stand in the shade, he would stand in the sun. I will be standing in the shade.
As soon as she stood under the tree, the tree started falling. Sister plucked a leaf and kept it in her purse, the tree stopped there. Now everyone is convinced that this idiot has learned some witchcraft and is protecting her brother again and again. While doing this the time for the rounds came.
When The Bride Came, He Said in The Bride's Ear - Till now I have saved your husband, now only you can save your husband as well as your dead brothers-in-law.
During the procession, a snake came, and as soon as it was about to bite the groom, the bride put it in a pot and covered it with a plate. After some time, the serpent came waving.
She Said To The Bride – Leave my husband.
The Bride Said - First you leave my husband.
The Serpent Said - Okay, I left your husband.
Bride: Not like this, say it three times.
The serpent spoke thrice, then said leave my husband now.
The Bride Said - What will happen to my husband? To laugh and speak, there should be a brother-in-law, let alone a brother-in-law.
The serpent also gave up the life of his brother-in-law.
Then The Bride Said – If there is a fight with one brother-in-law, then leave the other brother-in-law. When he went abroad, he left his third brother-in-law also.
In this way, one by one the bride brought her six brothers-in-law back to life.
On the other hand, the old lady was in bad condition and crying. Now my seventh son will also die like other sons. The villagers told him that his seven sons and daughters-in-law were coming.
So The Old Lady Said - If this is true then my eyesight will come back and milk will start flowing from my chest. This is what happened. She was very happy to see all her daughters-in-law and sons,
She Said - All this has been done by my fool. Where is my daughter?
Everyone started searching for their sister. Saw that she was sleeping in a straw closet. When she came to know that her brother was safe, she went to her home. All Lakshmi also started following him.
The Old Lady Said - Daughter, look at your mood! If you take away all Lakshmi, what will your brother and sister-in-law eat?
Then the sister looked back moodily and said – whatever mother gave with her own hands, come with me, after that, the rest of the brother should stay with the sister-in-law.
This is how a sister protected her brother.
