Bedtime Stories For Kids - Story Of Crow And Owl
A long time ago, there used to be a gathering of birds in a dense forest. The animals used to tell their problems to the king and the king used to solve them, but there was such a forest, whose king Garuda was engrossed only in the devotion of Lord Vishnu. Troubled by this, all the birds like swans, parrots, cuckoos,s, and pigeons called a general meeting.
All the birds in the assembly said in one voice that our king Garuda does not pay attention to us, then the peacock said that we have to go to Vishnu Lok with our problems. All the animals are suffering, but our king doesn't care. At the same time, the Hudhud bird proposed to make a new king. The cuckoo supported it by making the sound of Kuhu Kuhu and the rooster. In this way, in the meeting that lasted for hours, the troubled birds unanimously decided to elect a new king.
Now daily meetings started to choose the king. After discussing for several days, everyone unanimously elected the owl as the king. As soon as the new king was elected, all the birds started preparing for the consecration of the owl's kingdom. Holy water was procured from all the places of pilgrimage and the work of studying the king's throne with pearls started at a rapid pace.
After all the preparations were done, the day of the owl's coronation came. Mukt, garland, and all the things were ready. The parrots were reciting mantras, then two parrots asked the owl to go to the Lakshmi temple and worship before the coronation. The owl immediately got ready and flew to worship with both parrots. At the same time, seeing so many preparations and decorations, the crow came. The crow asked, ' Hey! In what happiness are there so many preparations, why is the festival being celebrated?
On this, the peacock said to the crow, 'We have chosen the new king of the jungle. Today his coronation is to take place, and for that, all these decorations have been done.' On hearing this, the red crow said in anger, 'Why was I not called while taking this decision. I am also a bird.' The peacock immediately replied, 'This decision was taken in the assembly of wild birds. Now you have gone far away and settled in the cities and villages of humans.
In anger, the black crow asked 'Whom did you kill the king', then the peacock told the owl. The crow got angry on hearing this. He started cooing, banging his head loudly. Peacock asked ' Hey! What happened to you?' The crow said, 'You are all very foolish. The owl was chosen as the king, who sleeps throughout the day and is seen only at night. To whom will you take your problems? Despite having such beautiful and intelligent birds, you were not ashamed to choose a lazy and cowardly owl as your king.
Slowly the crow's talk started affecting the birds. Everyone started whispering among themselves. He started feeling that he had made a big mistake. Because of this, all the birds disappeared from there in no time. The place decorated for the coronation became completely deserted. Now as soon as the owl and the two parrots came back, they found the place deserted. Seeing this, both of them flew away to find their companions and to know the reason for their departure. At the same time, the owl could not see anything, so he did not know anything and started getting ready for the coronation, but he doubted when there was peace all around.
Where are all the owls screeching loudly? Meanwhile, the owl's friend sitting on the tree said, 'Everyone is gone. Your coronation will not happen now. You will not become the king of the birds of the forest.' On hearing this, the owl shouted, 'Why? What happened?' The owl's friend said, 'A crow came and read the strip to everyone. That's why everyone left here. Only the same crow is here.
On hearing this, the owl's dream of becoming the king was shattered. The sad owl said to the crow 'Why did you do this to me', but the crow did not answer. Meanwhile, the owl announced, 'From today the crow is my enemy. From today onwards all crows will be enemies of owls and this enmity will never end. Saying this the owl flew away.
The crow got very upset after hearing the threat from the owl and started thinking for some time. During this, it occurred to him that unnecessarily he had enmity with the owl. He also regretted a lot, but now he could not do anything, because the matter had gone bad. In this thought the crow flew away. Since then the enmity between the owl and the crow has been going on. Therefore, owls kill crows whenever they get a chance, and crows kill owls.
The Moral Of The Story - Interfering in the affairs of others can backfire. The habit of spoiling the work of others can give lifelong enmity. Therefore, one should mind his own business.
Bedtime Stories For Kids - Story Of The Frog And The Bull
It's a very old matter. There was a pond in a dense forest, in which many frogs lived. In them, a frog lived with his three children. All of them used to live and eat and drink in the pond. The health of that frog had become very good and it had become the biggest frog in that pond. His children were very happy to see him. His children would think that their father is the biggest and strongest in the world. The frog also told false stories about himself to his children and pretended to be powerful in front of them. That frog was very proud of his physical stature. Days passed like this.
One day the frog kids went out of the pond while playing. He reached a nearby village. There he saw a bull and as soon as he saw it, his eyes widened. He had never seen such a big animal. They were scared to see the bull and were very surprised. They were watching the bull and the bull was happily eating grass. The bull barked loudly while eating grass. What was it then, all three children of the frog ran out of fear and came to their father in the pond. The father asked the reason for his fear. All three of them told the father that they had seen a bigger and stronger creature than them.
They think that he is the biggest and most powerful creature in the world. The frog's ego was hurt upon hearing this. He puffed himself up with a long sigh and said, 'Was he a bigger creature than that?' His children said, 'Yes, he was a bigger creature than you.'
The frog got angry, inflated itself with more breaths, and asked, ‘Was that creature still big?’ The children said, ‘It was nothing, he was many times bigger than you.’ Heard this from the frog. Didn't go, he inflated his breath and went on inflating himself like a balloon. Then came a time when his body swelled completely and he burst and lost his life in a fit of ego.
Learning From The Story - Never be proud of anything. Pride only harms oneself.
