Information And History Of Lord Krishna

Lord Krishna is considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism. According to Sanatan Dharma, Lord Vishnu is the omnipotent and the main deity who bestows enjoyment and salvation to all human beings. Whenever the terror of the sins of Asuras and demons prevails on this earth, then Lord Vishnu incarnated in one form or the other to reduce the weight of the earth. By the way, Lord Vishnu has taken twenty-three incarnations so far. Among these incarnations, his most important incarnations are considered to be those of Shri Ram and Shri Krishna.

Shri Krishna was not an ordinary person but a 'Yuga Purusha. In his personality, India got not only a talented 'politician', but a great 'Karmayogi' and 'philosopher', whose 'Gita' knowledge is a guide for all mankind and for all country-times. Krishna is praised in one form or the other almost all over India. Those people whom we simply classify as atheists or secularists are certainly influenced by 'Srimad Bhagavad Gita'. Who said or wrote 'Gita' and in what period is a matter of research, but 'Gita' is associated with Krishna only. This is a question of faith and even then the answers to questions of faith are not found in history.

Krishna Birth Story

Devaki was the daughter of Devak, brother of King Ugrasen of Mathura. Kansa loved his younger cousin Devaki very much. Devaki was married to the brave son Vasudeva. When she was married to Vasudeva, Kansa himself drove the chariot and went to take his sister to her in-laws' house. It is mentioned that Devaka, the uncle of Kansa and brother of Ugrasena, had married his seven daughters to Vasudeva, of whom Devaki was also one.

When Kansa was driving the chariot, there was a voice in the sky on the way – “O fool! The eighth womb of the one whom you are going to deliver with so much love will kill you." Kansa's love for his sister ended as soon as he heard Akashvani. According to the Puranas, when Kansa came to know about the prediction that he would die at the hands of Devaki's eighth womb, he became very apprehensive. He imprisoned Vasudeva and Devaki.

Devaki and Vasudeva's troubled life began after they were put in life imprisonment by Kansa. After this, the six sons of Devaki were gradually put to death by Kansa. He did not know anything about the seventh child (Balram). When it was the turn of the eighth child, the guard in the prison was doubled. Many soldiers were stationed in the prison.

In due course of time, the eighth child of Devaki, Krishna was born in the prison on the midnight of Bhadon Krishna Paksha Ashtami. At the time when he appeared, nature was gentle, the directions had become pure and the constellations had got a special radiance. Suddenly there was a light in the prison. Lord Vishnu appeared in the form of a quadrilateral holding a mace and a conch in his hand. Devaki and Vasudeva fell at his feet. The Lord said I take the form of a child and you leave me at the house of Yashoda and Nanda. Bring the daughter born to him and hand it over to Kansa. Don't you worry, all the prison guards will go to sleep and Yamuna will also give way to you.

As per the order, Vasudev Ji left the infant Shri Krishna in the soup. After reaching Vrindavan, he put the child to sleep and returned with Nanda's daughter. After reaching back the gate automatically closed. As soon as Kansa got this news, he threatened to kill the eighth son of the prison. As soon as Kansa snatched her and tried to kill her, the girl immediately flew into the air and said – O evil creature, what will you get by killing me, the one who killed you has reached Vrindavan. Saying this she disappeared. Thus Krishna's childhood was spent in the house of Yashoda and Nanda. Kansh also sent many demons to kill Shri Krishna but never succeeded.

Krishna's early life was spent in Braj and the rest was spent in Dwarka. In between, he had to go to many other districts also. Many incidents happened during his time, a detailed discussion of them is found in Puranas and Mahabharata. There is very little mention of Krishna in Vedic literature and he is shown in human form and not as an incarnation of Narayana or Vishnu.

Krishna Birth Time

Recently, a researcher living in Britain has given a precise description of the time of Krishna's birth and the Mahabharata war on the basis of astronomical events, archaeological facts, etc. Dr. Manish Pandit, Physician of Nuclear Medicine working in Britain, said in the context of 150 astronomical events described in the Mahabharata that the war of Mahabharata took place on 22 November 3067 BC. Lord Krishna was 55-56 years old at that time.

Incarnation Of Vishnu

According to Sanatan Dharma, Lord Vishnu is the omnipotent and the main deity who bestows enjoyment and salvation to all human beings. Whenever the terror of the sins of Asuras and demons prevails on this earth, then Lord Vishnu incarnated in one form or the other to reduce the weight of the earth. By the way, Lord Vishnu has taken twenty-three incarnations so far. Among these incarnations, his most important incarnations are considered to be of 'Shri Ram' and 'Shri Krishna'. Shri Krishna was a historical man, its clear evidence is found in a mention of 'Chandogya Upanishad'. There it is said that "Shri Krishna, the son of Devaki, was taught by Maharishidev: Koti Angiras to worship Yagya in the form of selfless action, after which Shri Krishna became 'satisfied' i.e. a perfect man." The life of Shri Krishna, as described in the Mahabharata, was inspired by this teaching and in the 'Gita' the same teaching has been rendered through him.

Shri Krishna Education-Initiation

Yogeshwar Lord Krishna had received the education and initiation of Vedas and Yoga by staying in the ashram of Maharishi Sandipani in Ujjain. He was proficient in yoga and whatever siddhis attained through yoga was automatically attainable to him. There is a world beyond all siddhis, they discuss that world in the Gita. The Gita believes that miracles are not religion. To become situated pragmatic is religion.

Krishna Wife And Girlfriend

There were many Gopis and girlfriends who loved Krishna. Krishna-devotee poets have given a prominent place to the Rasleela of Gopi-Krishna in their poetry. In the Puranas, the love relationship of Gopi-Krishna has been given a spiritual and highly ornamental form. This spiritual form is not found in the Mahabharata.

Rukmini, Satyabhama, Jambavati, etc. are married wives of Krishna. Radha, Lalita, etc. were his girlfriends. All of them are also called Sakhi. Some of Radha's friends also loved Krishna, whose names are:- Chitra, Sudevi, Lalita, Vishakha, Champakalata, Tungavidya, Indulekha, Ragdadevi, and Sudevi. According to Brahmavaivarta Purana, Krishna had only a few girlfriends whose names are as follows:- Chandravali, Shyama, Shaivya Padya, Radha, Lalita, Visakha, and Bhadra.

Krishna Niwas

Krishna spent many important moments of his life in Gokul, Vrindavan, and Dwarka. Krishna went to many places all over India. Wherever he went, his stories related to the said place are prevalent, but Mathura being his birthplace is the main pilgrimage site of Hinduism.

The sermon that Krishna gave to Arjuna, the third son of Maharaja Pandu and Queen Kunti during the Mahabharata war, became famous as the Gita. The essence of the Vedas is the Upanishads and the essence of the Upanishads is called the Gita. Sage Ved Vyas was the author of the Mahabharata book. The Gita is part of the Bhishma Parva of the Mahabharata.

Lord Krishna himself has told Arjuna that at that time the knowledge I had given to you on the battlefield, I was yogic. Therefore, while speaking of God in that state, he is God becoming the representative of God or there is some kind of ego in him.

Death Of Shri Krishna

After the war of Mahabharata, Dwarka was very calm and happy. Gradually, the Yaduvansh, the son of Shri Krishna, had become very powerful. It is said that once Lord Krishna's son Samba insulted the Durvasa sage under the influence of fickleness. After which Durvasa Rishi got angry and cursed Samba for the destruction of Yaduvansh. Due to this curse, there was a civil war in the Yadu dynasty and gradually it was destroyed.

Shri Krishna was very upset seeing the destruction of his lineage. It was because of his suffering that he started living in the forest. One day while he was resting in yoga sleep under a peepal tree in the forest, a hunter named Jara mistook his leg as a deer and attacked him with a poisoned arrow. Using this piercing of a poisoned arrow as an excuse, Shri Krishna renounced his body form and sat in the form of Narayan in Baikunth Dham.

Krishna Leela

Is the detailed description of Krishna Leelas given in the Bhagwat Granth only aimed at increasing the faith of Krishna devotees or does it have some message for human beings only? Whether the purpose of the description of these phenomena, which seem strange to the rational mind, is to bewitch such a mind with the mysteriousness of the superhuman superpower or to give it some deeper message at its logical level itself, it should be considered. The clear evidence of Shri Krishna being a historical person is found in a mention of 'Chandogya Upanishad'. It is said there that Maharishidev: Koti Angiras had taught Lord Krishna, the son of Devaki, in the form of yajna worship in the form of Nishkam Karma, after which Shri Krishna became 'satisfied', that is, a perfect man.

There has been a lot of excitement and turmoil in Krishna's life. In his childhood, he was the most naughty boy in the world, then dancing on the pyre with the Gopis and playing the flute is the most interesting episode of his life. When some grew up, after killing Kansa in Mathura and freeing the subjects from the tyrannical king Kansa, Krishna also freed his parents from prison. Apart from this, Krishna had killed the demons Putana, Shaktasur, Yamalarjuna Moksha, Kali-daman, Dhenuk, Pralamb, Arishta etc. Shri Krishna was the only one who had incarnated on this earth after completing sixteen arts. And he had all kinds of powers.
