Story - Helping The Innocent

Sheikh Abdul Qadir, who lived in the city of Gilan in the Arab country, was a very generous person. He lived his life very simply. He was always engaged in the reading and reading of literature.

A Jewish young man lived in their neighbourhood. He was of a disorderly nature. He kept making noise. This would have hindered the worship of Sheikh Qadir. He once told the young man, 'When I pray, at least at that time do not make noise.'

The young man replied, 'What do I do in my house, what does it mean to anyone? After a few days, Sheikh Sahib realized that no noise could be heard from his neighbourhood.

On inquiry, it was learned that the youth was in lock-up. He was taken by the police for some crime. It reached their ears that the young man was innocent.

He remembered the teaching of the Quran that it is duty to help the innocent. He approached the prince and said, 'The Jewish young man is my neighbor. If his offence is minor, then I want to get him released by depositing the fine amount.'

Hakim Sahib was impressed by Sheikh Sahib and saw the young man's file. Upon investigation, it was found that the young man was indeed innocent. He was released.

Seeing this, he bowed down at the feet of young Sheikh Qadir Sahib and started apologizing. Sheikh Saheb told him that it is the duty of a true Muslim to be useful in the misery of the neighbor.

Story - Jeet Jeet Of Mann

Purity and purity have been given paramount importance in Indian culture. It has also been said, 'Advishatrani shudhyati manah satyen shudhyati vidyatpobhayam bhutma buddhigyanit shudhyati.'

The body is purified by bathing in water, the mind by truthful conduct, the soul by learning and austerity, and the intellect by knowledge. The scribes say, 'Swa mano Vishudtimtirthaam, that is, one's pure mind is the supreme pilgrimage.

The mind can be made pure by always studying the literature, contemplating good thoughts. One whose mind becomes a practitioner of purity, there is uniformity in his speech and deed.

It has also been said, 'Manayekam vachasyem karmanayekm mahatmanam', that is, one who is one in mind, speech and action, he is a mahatma. In the Yajurveda it is said that the mind is such a charioteer, which, by holding the nails of the horses of the senses, drives the chariot in the form of life.

If the mind is imbued with pure thoughts, it will lead the senses to good deeds and if it is under the influence of corrupted thoughts, it will lead the senses to the wrong path. 'The defeat of the mind is the defeat of the mind'. Only a pure hearted, pure hearted person can do welfare of the nation and society.

Story - Origin Of Daya Dharma

Maharaj Yudhishthira used to visit the ashrams of the sages from time to time and satsang with them. Once he reached for the darshan of Maharishi Markandeya. He asked Mahamuni, 'What is the best religion and the best knowledge?'

The Maharishi said, 'Anrishyam paro dharma: forgiveness cha param balam. Self-knowledge param jnanaam satyam vrat param vratam. Forgiveness is the greatest force.

Truth is the best vow and the knowledge of the essence of God is the best knowledge. The person who does not seek happiness in worldly things, considers God as the source of happiness and is engaged in good deeds and devotion,

He is neither sad nor disappointed. Therefore, the one who has the feeling of mercy and compassion in the heart is the most virtuous and knowledgeable. Muni Markandeya while preaching to Yudhishthira says, 'Rajan, consider all living beings as God's form and have mercy on them.

Practice dharma by being ready to follow Jitendriya and subjects. If you have got any unfair treatment towards someone out of pranks, then satisfy him with your polite behavior.'

Describing the ego as the reason for the downfall, the sage says, 'I am the master of all - never let such ego come near. Considering yourself to be a servant, not a master, is the welfare of the king. The person who is free from attachment and aversion and wishes for the welfare of all, God himself is also ready for his welfare.
