Swami Karpatriji, the founder of the Dharmasangha, was arrested in Satyagraha in protest against the plan of partition of India. He was kept in Lahore jail for a few days. Swamiji used to pray to the prisoners every day, 'Lord, save us from sinful deeds and make us a good person.'

A prisoner came in contact with Swamiji and was greatly influenced by his spare life and discourse. He told Swamiji one day, 'Maharaj, after the completion of the sentence, I will be released from jail. Suggest such a way that no bad deeds should be done to me. '

When Swami Karpatriji was released from Lahore jail, he again started preaching. A few years later he attended a conference. The person conducting a session of the conference welcomed Swamiji and said,

'Pujya Swamiji is as divine as the Paras, whose iron becomes gold at the mere touch. I came in contact with Swamiji in Lahore Jail. Due to their Satsang, instead of committing a crime, I am busy propagating religion instead of being a teacher. '

After the conference he reached Swamiji. Swamiji embraced him.
