The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ganesh. This festival lasts for about 11 days. Although Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated all over the country, in western India, it is going to look bright. Among them, especially in Mumbai, where during this time not only people from all over the country but also people from abroad are engaged.

Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival celebrated in Hinduism. Ganesh Chaturthi festival is celebrated every year in the months of August or September according to the English calendar (Chaturthi of Bhadra month according to the Hindi calendar). The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi lasts for 11 days. This festival is the longest festival lasting 11 days. On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, people bring clay idols of Ganesha to their homes and after worshiping them for 10 days, Ganesha is immersed on the 11th day.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in different states of the country but is the biggest festival of life celebrated mainly in Maharashtra. The festival begins with the installation of Ganesh idol in the house and temple on Chaturthi. People bring the Ganesha idol to their homes with great fanfare. A few days before Ganesh Chaturthi, Ronak starts in the markets and different types of idols of Ganesha made of clay are found. Everyone worships and worships Lord Ganesha in their homes and temples, singing songs, dancing, chanting, performing aarti, and offering modak to Ganesha for the next 10 days from Ganesh Chaturthi. These days there is a lot of decoration in the temples. Lord Ganesha is first remembered before starting any new work. Lord Ganesha is the most beloved God of all children. The children affectionately call him Ganesha.




Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha. Once Lord Shiva angrily cut off the head of his son Ganesha. But then the head of an elephant baby was attached to his torso. In this way, Lord Ganesha regained his life. This day is celebrated as Ganesh Chaturthi. On the day of Annat Chaturdashi i.e. on the 11th day, with Ganesh Visarjan, Ganesha Lord is sent off and the next year is expected to come soon.

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the biggest festivals in India. It is believed that Lord Ganesha was born on this day. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is mainly a Hindu festival, but now people of all religions celebrate this festival with great fanfare. Preparations for Ganesh Chaturthi are started a few days in advance. On Ganesh Chaturthi, people bring and install the Ganesha idol in their homes and temples by decorating and singing and dancing. People clean and decorate their homes and temples. From Ganesh Chaturthi to the next 10 days, Lord Ganesha is worshiped, devotional songs are sung, modak is offered, different dishes are made, Bhandare is also organized in temples.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in the months of August and September. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is held in the month of Bhadra. After completing 10 days of Ganesh Utsav, preparations for Ganesh Visarjan are also done with great pomp on the 11th day. A beautiful chariot is made for Ganesh immersion and decorated with colorful flowers. After which the Lord Ganesha is performed and his idol is placed in a chariot. A procession is then carried out throughout the city. In the Ganesh procession, people wave gulal, burn firecrackers, shout slogans of Ganapati Bappa Moriya, Mangal Murti Moriya. Nowadays people are also playing DJs. In Akhiri, the idol of Lord Ganesha is immersed in a pond, river, or sea.
